Job description
Join us in Revolutionizing Supply Chains
Agriplace is a fast‑growing SaaS scale‑up on a mission to build safer, more transparent, and sustainable global food supply chains. After four straight years of 100 % year‑on‑year growth, we’re ready to take our outbound engine to the next level—and we need a Business Development Representative - Team Lead to make it happen.
If you’re energized by leading high‑performing, multi‑geographic teams and turning great strategy into a predictable pipeline, we’d love to meet you.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will own the global Business Development (BD) function. Your mandate is simple—but ambitious:
Lead & Coach — Manage and mentor a growing team of BDRs across EMEA, setting clear goals and creating scalable career paths.
Build Pipeline — Design and execute scalable, data‑driven prospecting programs that consistently deliver qualified meetings and net‑new ARR.
Optimize Process — Partner with RevOps to refine ICP targeting, territories, cadences, and tooling.
Align Cross‑Functionally — Work closely with Marketing on campaign strategy and with Account Executives to ensure seamless hand‑offs and high conversion.
Report & Forecast — Own top‑of‑funnel metrics, delivering accurate weekly forecasts and actionable insights to leadership.
Your success will be measured in pipeline sourced, conversion rates, and the development of a world‑class BD team.
What We’re Looking For
Innovative Thinker: Creative problem-solver who thrives when applying technology to complex challenges.
Strategically Adaptable: Excited by fast-paced environments, proactively adjusting strategies to drive continuous improvement.
Outbound Expertise - Deep knowledge of modern prospecting tactics—sequenced email, social selling, cold calling, ABM, events—and when to use each.
Coach and Lead – Someone who is open to launching a few cadences themselves, stress testing the process and showing the team what Great is.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Hiring – Recruit, onboard, and develop BDRs; run regular 1‑on‑1s, call coaching, and quarterly performance reviews.
Pipeline Generation – Set weekly/monthly targets; monitor daily activity metrics; refine ICP lists and messaging to exceed pipeline goals.
Playbook Ownership – Build and continuously update the global BD playbook, including persona‑based messaging, objection handling, and qualification criteria.
Tech Stack & Automation – Ensure reps leverage HubSpot sequences, intent data, and personalization tools efficiently; recommend new tech where it drives ROI.
Territory & Segmentation Strategy – Balance workloads across regions, verticals, and rep capacity; adjust territories as we expand.
Collaboration – Sync with Marketing on campaign calendars and content; partner with AEs to ensure discovery quality and fast follow‑up.
Reporting & Insights – Track KPIs (meetings booked, SQLs, win rate, cycle time); deliver insights that shape GTM strategy.
Job Requirements
3 + years leading BDR/SDR or inside‑sales teams across multiple time zones; proven coach who turns rookies into quota‑crushers.
Demonstrated ability to scale a BD function from < 5 to 10 + reps while raising productivity per rep.
Scientist - You treat pipeline like a product: you A/B test, instrument everything, and improve with each iteration.
Mastery of HubSpot (or similar), outreach automation platforms, and prospecting data sources.
Strong analytical skills; comfortable with funnel analytics, capacity planning, and forecasting.
Willingness to travel ≈ 15 % for team sessions, trade shows, and major customer events.
Experience designing territory plans, lead‑routing logic, and SLAs that keep Marketing, BD, and Sales in lockstep
