Our organization has grown quickly, and we are now seeking a senior backend developer to help us establish the next phase of growth.

Role Overview

To support our rapid growth, we are looking for a passionate Senior Backend Engineer who’s ready to take on real ownership and grow with us. • Taking ownership within the team, working closely with our product team to make sure we work together efficiently

• A minimum of 5 years experience in backend development

• Extensive knowledge of Python or a comparable object-oriented language

• A deep understanding of relational databases, SQL, and database design principles

• Desire to get hands-on experience with all aspects of software development

• Experience with Python testing frameworks e.g. Pytest, Unittest

• Strong collaboration skills, enjoys sparring with other parts of the business to jointly create the best possible product

• Experience maintaining and improving CI/CD pipelines

• Proven experience as a senior member in agile teams using processes such as SCRUM

• Basic hands-on experience with IaaS providers, preferably AWS

Technologies You'll Be Using

• Python3.10

• Django + Django Rest Framework

• PostgreSQL

• Docker

• CircleCI

• Git

• AWS (CDK, ECS, RDS, S3, Lambda)

Preferred but optional skills:

• Experience with a Python web framework, preferably Django but something like Flask or FastAPI is also great

• Experience with AWS suite, e.g. ECS, RDS, Lambda, S3. If you have CDK experience that's even better!

• Modern front-end development experience, preferably React

Soft skills and personality:

• Strong collaboration skills, enjoys sparring with other parts of the business to jointly create the best possible product
