Role Overview

As the Agriplace Sustainability Research Intern, you'll play a vital role in strengthening our Sustainability Risk Assessment work. You’ll be working in a cross-departmental role working to manage long-term projects that contribute to how we assess sustainability risks across global agricultural supply chains.

You’ll have the opportunity to apply your research and analytical skills in a meaningful way and contribute to the creation of new sustainability scoring frameworks, with a clear path for growth into a full-time role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sustainability research & data curation: You will conduct in-depth research across environmental, social and governance topics, curating data from global sustainability databases and verifying sources.

  • Score development: You will support in the creation of new environmental and social scores on a product-specific level, helping align our framework with real-world impacts.

  • Analytical assessment: You will conduct research and assist in the analysis of sustainability scores, comparing methodologies and data reliability.

  • Project management: You will coordinate with your team, to manage timelines, scope and planning of current and future sustainability data projects.

What we're looking for

  • You are currently enrolled in or have recently completed a degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Sustainable Business, or a related field.

  • You ideally have experience with both quantitative and qualitative research methods.

  • You’re comfortable managing complex, layered projects independently.

  • You are available for a 5-6 month internship.

  • You are analytical, curious, and detail-oriented, with a drive to uncover patterns and make sense of complex information.

  • You work in a structured and methodical way, with strong time management and planning skills.
